PRESCREEN

Prescreen means to screen the candidates ahead of time before a more comprehensive recruiting process. The first step for the initiation of the recruitment process for any candidate starts with the Prescreen on ATS.

Only the authorized user can document the pre-screening discussion held with the applicant.

To access this tab, select Recruiter Action > Candidate List > Action Column.

Click on the Prescreen tab.

The Prescreen page will be displayed as shown below:

The following details will be displayed on this page:

Fields Description
Prescreened By
  • The name of the logged-in recruiter who will conduct the first prescreen of the candidate will be displayed.
  • If the first  Prescreen has been conducted by another recruiter, then, the logged-in recruiter will be able to view the name of that particular recruiter.

Note: Prescreened By field is not editable for the recruiters.

Prescreen Date
  • The date of when the Prescreen details are provided.

Note: This field is not editable.

Prescreen Result
  • The recruiter can select the appropriate Prescreen Result from the drop-down from the list of different options – Email Sent, To Call Back, Prescreen Passed, etc.

Comments
  • Recruiters can enter the comments.

On this page, recruiters can provide the following information about the candidates:

CANDIDATE’S CONTACT INFORMATION

Under this section, the recruiter can provide the following information:

Fields Description
Last Name  Enter the candidate’s last name.
First Name  Enter the candidate’s first name.
Middle Name  Enter the candidate’s middle name.
Address  Enter the candidate’s permanent address.
City  Enter the name of the city.
State  Enter the name of the state.
ZIP  Enter the zip code/ postal code.
Phone  Enter the candidate’s phone number.

CANDIDATE’S FAMILY INFORMATION

The recruiter can enter the candidate’s family information in the provided text area like – Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Parents’ Occupation, Number of members in the candidate’s family, etc.

CANDIDATE’S EDUCATION INFORMATION

The recruiters can provide the following information about the candidate’s education:

Fields Description
Last Education  Enter the last education information of the candidate.
Stream  Enter the stream of the last education of the candidate.
Passout Year  Enter the year of pass out of the candidate.
Backlog (if any)  Enter the backlog details of the candidates if there are any.
Education Gap (if any)  Enter the number of years or months of education gap of the candidates if there is any.

OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT CANDIDATE

Under this section, the recruiter can provide more information about the candidate.

Fields Description
Native Place  Enter the native place name of the candidate.
Current Location  Enter the current location of the candidate.
Any plans for further studies?  If the candidate is planning for further studies, then select the Yes option.

Else, select No.

Working days will be either 5 / 6 in a week. Are you comfortable for the same?  If the candidate is comfortable working 5 / 6 days, then select the Yes option.

Else, select No.

There would not be any festival leaves. Is it ok?  If the candidate is okay with the no festival leaves policy, then select the Yes option.

Else, select No.

How soon you can join us?  Enter the number of days/months the candidate can take to join the organization once selected.
Are you ready to sign bond?  If the candidate is ready to sign the bond, then select the Yes option.

Else, select No.

Why Etech?  Enter the reason of the candidate applying for the job in Etech.
How long are you planning to be with us?  Enter the duration of the candidate is planning to work with the organization.
Experience  Select the years/ months of experience of the candidate.

Notice Period  Enter the notice period of the candidate’s current organization.
Applying for the first time?  If the candidate is applying for the first time, then select the Yes option.

Else, select No.

Reason for job change?  Enter the reason of the candidate for looking out for the job change.
Are you ready to relocate?  If the candidate is ready to relocate to another location for the job, then select the Yes option.

Else, select No.

Last Salary  Enter the last salary information of the candidate.
Expected Salary  Enter the expected salary of the candidate.
Referred By  If the candidate is referred by any of Etech’s employee, then select the name of that employee from the dropdown list.

If the name is not found in the dropdown list, then enter the name of the employee in the text box.

Is Company Accommodation Required?  If the candidate requires the company accommodation facility, then select the Yes option.

Else, select No.

Is Transport Required?  If the candidate requires the company accommodation facility, then select the Yes option.

Else, select No.

Distance to Office (KM)  Enter the distance to the office from the candidate’s residence.
Long term goal  Enter the long-term goal of the candidate.
Short term goal  Enter the short-term goal of the candidate.
Strengths  Enter the strengths of the candidate.
Weakness  Enter the weakness of the candidate.

Once all the necessary information is provided on this page, the recruiter can click on Submit button.

Else, click on Cancel.

Once submitted, on the Candidate List page, the status of that candidate’s application will be changed according to the option selected in Prescreen Result dropdown.

Until the candidate’s data is moved to ERRIS, which is an employee database of Etech for India centers, all the details displayed under the sections on the Prescreen Page like – Candidate’s Contact Information, Candidate’s Family Information, Candidate’s Education Information, Other Information about Candidate – can be editable on the Prescreen form.

PRESCREEN IN PROGRESS

If the recruiter selects the Prescreen Result as the following, then on the Candidate List page, the status will display Prescreen in Progress:

  1. Attempted – No Answer
  2. Attempted – Invalid/Wrong Number
  3. To call back
  4. Email Sent
  5. Shortlisted for Prescreen

PRESCREEN ON HOLD

If the recruiters select the Prescreen Result as Prescreen on hold, then on the Candidate List page, the status will display Prescreen on hold.

PRESCREEN REJECTED

If the recruiter selects the Prescreen Result as the following, then on the Candidate List page, the status will display Prescreen Rejected.

  1. Duplicate Application
  2. Prescreen Failed
  3. New Application Required
  4. Lacking Documentation
  5. NER
  6. Basic Call Rejection

PRESCREEN ACCEPTED

If the recruiter selects the Prescreen Result as Prescreen passed, then on the Candidate List page, the status will display Prescreen Passed.

APPLICATION CLOSED

By selecting the Prescreen Result on Recruiter Actions > Candidate List > Prescreen form as the following:

  • Applicant not interested
  • Hiring – on hold
  • Close

The status of the candidate will be marked as Application Closed on the Candidate List page.
